Little Flower...

Little Flower...

Little flower of the field

How long will beauty be?

Your perfect all about

Cannot we also see?

You dance there in the sunlight

You laugh gaily witt the breeze

Oh! Such a sight for eyes weary for to see

Leaves fall all about, wanting to consume

But still you can be found

By your sweet perfume

Little flower of the field

How long will it take for them to see?

Oh! How long will beauty be?

~A Wild Night~ by- CSL

I am standing on the edge
Into the blackness I peer
Wild winds twirl about. Wanting me to fear.
I take a step closer
Gripping tight the rail
My ears strain past the roar to hear a distant wail
Waves are crashing taller
Foundation begins to quake
My heart begins to pound...
So dreamlike, maybe i'm not quite awake
I need to turn back
Make it to the safty of home
But the wind haughtingly calls my name
Trying to sound so tame
Ha! A liar all the same
Salt air is so that i taste it on my tongue
Why can't I seem to part away...
Away from the edge , the blackness the crashing
And the wild wind that loves to play
All i know is i better leave before it is too late...
After all...this could be my fate.

Lifetime Friends

You were childhood friends, you and her. She didn't talk that much, but her shy smile and listening ear made you feel important. She was a friend that any wanted, and you could call her yours. She comforted you as you grew older and trials came your way. She showed you beautiful places that you never knew existed. You got lost inside her imagination as you read her stories. She didn't complain that much about her position, or life in peculiar. She had a few little secrets that she kept even from you. Her worries, dreams and wishes, that she kept as foolish.

Soon you parted ways. You went off to follow your dreams, while she stayed where she was, working hard. She wrote you letters every week, if you replied or not.

Years came and years went and you lost track of her. But don't forget the memories.
Then one day you found her, you entered her little cottage house so bright and happy.
She sat upon a rocking chair, she had a desk in front of her and she had been writing hard.
But at the sound of your entrance she looked up with the shy smile, that you had always loved. Her hair shimmered silver and lines had been carved from her almost constant smile.
You talked to her for hours, recooking the memories, you laughed until tears fell from your eyes.
Glancing at the clock you say you have to leave. She continues to brave a smile and doesn't let you see if she breaks down and cries.

It might be months, days or years before you come again, and you bid adieu .
Whenever you come she always makes you feel at home.

Finally after years of being gone, you come to that little town. You talk about the past and summers that you shared. She smiles weakly. Her hair has turned as white as snow. She says sincerely "Your the friend a friend would want".
You try to hold back the tears and wish for a couple more years, to be the friend she was to you.
She looks up to the sky and finally says goodbye, you see a twinkle in her eye. You brave a smile but tears are in your eyes.
"Its ok to cry", she softly says to you (and tears are in her eyes) "but it won't be long and you will be there too".
She sighs a sigh of contentment.
And you know just exactly where she is, see a smile on her face.

"She always was ready for an adventure" you say trying to smile.
You leave her bedside one last time, but you know your only leaving the bed now.
For all the memories will stay. And her face will always be in your mind, not the face all worn with care, but the face of younger ways.

Letter from the author.
I tried to figure out where to put the commas and periods, the end result made me think I should have just leaved it the way it was. This isn't really a poem or story, so I don't know what to call it. My mom didn't like it because it was sad. But I hope you appreciate it as much as I did writing it.

Um Yeah this doesn't have a title either :D

The bagpipers stood upon the hills, they played a minor toned song, which made you think. Solemn was their faces. A small group of men carried a casket up the hill to where the hole was. Beyond the graveyard, upon a small mound stood a stone cross. Beautiful engravings were on it.
A year ago none of these events were forseen. So much had happened, yet even if someone tried to explain, it would seem impossible. A sense of hope and peacefulness had come upon the small community. Even though great misery had also come upon the community.

The sun rose slowly, gleaming threw the trees, it made early morning shadows dance along. Bird quietly sang from the treetops.
It was mid July and already the air was hot and humid. It was on an edge of a forest and you could hear little feet pattering along the forests leaf paved floors. The forest wasn't a dense one, but a pleasant light one, so the Sun could shine threw.
Beyond the forest to the West a slope slowly rose, green grass covered the slope for a long ways then the terrain turned to dust and craggy cliffs, rocky grounds, and beyond you could see craggy points and the highest point you could not see because of the clouds.
To the North you could see the forests edge push forward and fall back as far as eye could see. And indeed the forest stretched to a place where a cliff dropped away.
To the South after a ways the edge of the forest fell back to the East. Leaving a semi-large amount of unforested ground. There was a peaceful lake and on the edge of it a small cabin.

This is NOT part of my worlds chronicles (at least at this point). And I do not claim this story is set in our world or in another world.

~Moonlight Dancing on the Waves~

Wild waves are crashing
Roaring in the night
I edge closer,see flashing
-Moonlight dancing , what a sight-

Waves are black
Sky is gray
Moon is half her size
Light reflects down in the dark
Shimmering ....so wise

In the days
She can't be seen, but at night...
Moonlight dancing on the waves
Oh my! What a sight...
